Terms & Conditions
The Cheshire Wellness Practice – T&Cs
(Effective Date: 19th October 2026 | Version 1.3)
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking or attending any treatment or service. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. These terms apply to all treatments and services provided by The Cheshire Wellness Practice (“the Practice”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
The therapies offered at The Cheshire Wellness Practice are complementary in nature and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. If you have a medical condition or any health concerns, please consult your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.
1. Appointments & Booking
The Cheshire Wellness Practice is a women-only practice offering personalised wellbeing support. In exceptional circumstances, Gemma may, at her discretion, treat male clients who are known to an existing client.
Our treatments are for adults aged 18 and over.
Appointments can be made by telephone, email, or through the online booking system where available. All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation from us.
A booking constitutes your agreement to these Terms and Conditions in full.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 Booking Deposit
A £20 holding deposit is required to secure your appointment and will be deducted from the final cost of your treatment. If you cancel or reschedule with 24 hours’ notice or more, your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment, or refunded if you do not wish to rebook. In the event of a late cancellation or non-attendance, as set out below, the deposit is retained and counts towards the cancellation fee owed.
2.2 Cancellation by You
We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 24 hours or more notice: No charge. Your appointment will be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge, and your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment or refunded.
- Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of the treatment fee will be charged, less any deposit already paid.
- Non-attendance (no-show): 100% of the treatment fee will be charged, less any deposit already paid.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Cancellations left on voicemail or sent by text, WhatsApp or email outside of business hours will be timestamped at the time of receipt.
2.3 Cancellation by Us
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you the earliest available alternative, or a full refund of any deposit or payment made if you prefer. We will not charge a cancellation fee in such circumstances. We accept no liability for losses arising from a cancellation made by us.
2.4 Late Arrivals
If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you, but your treatment time may be reduced accordingly. The full treatment fee will still apply. Repeated late arrivals may affect our ability to maintain your booking.
2.5 Your Statutory Rights
If you book online or by telephone, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By booking an appointment that takes place within that period, you ask us to begin providing the service within it. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
3. Payment
Once you have selected your appointment date and time, we will collect a holding deposit from you to secure your booking (see section 2.1). Until this is paid your booking is not confirmed. We accept the following payment methods: cash / card / bank transfer. You can also pay in full. The remainder of your payment is due on the treatment day.
Where a course of treatments is purchased in advance, the full course fee is payable upfront. If you no longer wish to continue a course, we will refund the cost of any unused sessions, less the value of any course discount applied to the sessions already used. Unused sessions may also be transferred to another person at our discretion.
4. Health & Medical Disclosure
It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or contraindications prior to your treatment. This includes but is not limited to: pregnancy, skin conditions, circulatory conditions, recent surgery, or any condition for which you are under the care of a medical professional.
Failure to disclose relevant health information may affect the safety and suitability of your treatment. We reserve the right to decline or adapt a treatment if we believe it may not be appropriate for you. We are not medically trained professionals and do not diagnose, prescribe, or treat medical conditions.
You may be asked to complete a Client Consultation Form before your first appointment. This information is held securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
5. Contra‑Indications
Certain conditions may mean that a treatment is not suitable or should be adapted. We will discuss this with you during your consultation. Where a treatment cannot safely proceed, we will offer an alternative where possible. You will not be charged if a treatment cannot go ahead because of a contra‑indication that you disclosed to us before your appointment, or that could not reasonably have been known in advance.
6. Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time if we believe it is not in the best interests of the client’s health or wellbeing, or if a client’s behaviour is inappropriate or makes the therapist uncomfortable. Where treatment is stopped because of inappropriate behaviour, or because relevant health information was not disclosed, the full treatment fee may still apply. Where treatment is stopped for your health or wellbeing for any other reason, you will only be charged for the time used.
7. Liability
We take every reasonable care to ensure that our treatments are carried out safely and professionally. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from:
- Failure to disclose a relevant medical condition or contraindication;
- Any adverse reaction arising from a pre-existing condition of which we were not informed;
- Personal belongings brought to the premises.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable. They may not be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. We are unable to accept expired vouchers.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you provide will be held securely and used to provide your treatment, to communicate with you about your appointments and, only if you have opted in, to send you news and offers. We will never sell your data, and we only share it with the service providers who help us run the practice, or where required by law.
Full details of how we handle your personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy, available on our website and on request.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website and on request. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
